Baton Rouge K-9 Division Field Trip

On Friday, June 21st we had a fieldtrip to the Baton Rouge Police K-9 Division.

First, Corporal Morse talked to the kids about stranger danger.


Then, we headed outside to see the motorcycle division do a demonstration. They talked to the kids about the motorcycles and everyone got a chance to sit on one.

Then we headed back to see the K-9 demonstration. Officer Allen demonstrated obedience with his dog.

Then Corporal Morse demonstrated agility with his dog.


Next Corporal Morse pretended to be the "bad" guy and hid in one of the boxes and then Officer Allen and his dog searched for him.

Then Corporal Morse demonstrated some more obedience as Officer Allen pretended to be the "bad" guy.

Finally, we wrapped it up with questions & answers about the dogs.
